Doing time to Kilkenny

It’s family time in Dublin a plenty, we see uncles, cousins and 2nd cousins to name a few, it’s been great.  Camping here for 2 nights and touring the old jail, visiting Bray and Wicklow, with a visit to the outside of the Guinness factory sums up our time in the city this time. We’ve hit the road now staying down near Cork for the night, stopping off to see the big castle in Kilkenny on the way.

Wicklow… fishing town with character

The Guinness Factory… nice building but tourist trap

Dub Dub Dublin

I can’t believe it. We’re in Dublin. Hometown of my in-laws and home to many family members, all of whom I’ve never met. It’s nice here, there’s a kind of charm that seems real.
If there’s one thing that makes any sense, it’s this place.

Dublin at night… like a picture

Phoenix Park

Looking forward to seeing more of this city, we’ve a full 2 weeks planned in Ireland. Hopefully we’ll see it all, from Galway Bay, to Cork, and the Wild Atlantic Way… the highlight will be the Cliffs of Moher, and some good old Irish hospitality. How’s your Craic hehe
Cheers

Snowdonia… but not Snowed in

What a journey we’ve had today, driving through Snowdonia National Park. The rugged landscape, the cottage towns and flowing rivers are out of a storybook. I took lots of pics as usual… here goes

Rustic, the stonework here is awesome

Villages through the mountains

Portmerion, village by the sea

We’re staying down the road from Caernarfon Castle… it’s big and bold and certainly old

Grand ol Church of York

Off to York for the day on the bus. Surprised by the amount of tourists there… the place was heaving. Very cool to see and experience the vibe.
