A nice cold Bath

After staying with family in Somerset we’re off to Bath for the night, via Stonehenge. One day is not nearly enough but in the cold and rain we made the most of it in the low season. The advantage of coming here in winter is all the empty streets.

This is a walking city and full of romantic flavour. It’s classical with a punch of pizazz.

Rest of Cornwall

Got up early in Newquay for a walk along the beach and cliffs. A full days exploring ahead, we set off for Padstow first.

Pebbles of Clovelly

We arrived after closing and had the place to ourselves

We packed so much into this trip around… highlights were Padstow, Port Isaac and Clovelly. So much history, so much charm… we will be back for more.

Devonshire Tea & Cornish Pasties

We’re in Cornwall at the moment at a hotel in Newquay, on a flying trip around Devon and Cornwall. It’s as I expected it to be, strikingly beautiful in a fishing village, chocolate box type of way. Full of small laneways and stone cottages, we’ve enjoyed our little taster of Southern England… starting in Portsmouth from London, its Old English charm at its best.

Cute and quaint, I could get lost here

Last of London

Rounding out our stay this time with The Natural History Museum, The Design Museum and a walk around Kensington. There’s honestly so much here it’s impossible to see it all… but we’ve saved a lot to do next time.
It’s fast paced and in your face, just like the tube, it’s grungy, it’s classy, it’s historic and mighty fine. See u soon London, thanks for the memories.

Best of Brittish

Museum that is - What a stunner.
A full days entertainment, from history to another show… The very funny Book of Mormon, what a day. Finishing off with dinner in China Town and a ride home from Trafalgar Square on a double decker, we’re hitting the right notes.

So much inspiration

This cute little theatre looks like a painting.
