The islands are tiny and pretty backward. There's no cars here, only horses and a couple of fools lol. No dogs either, but plenty of bars and cafes to enjoy. We're staying in a wooden, bamboo villa off the main drag, right near a mosque. Interesting to hear them wailing all hours of the night and morning.
They took us to 3 different spots to snorkel as well as stopping off at all the islands. We swam with turtles and lots of colourful fish and coral to see. The underwater statue was epic.
Ending the first day with happy hour, dinner and an open movie at Sunset Beach.
Slipping into Island life is effortless here and we hire bikes for the last couple of days, exploring all the beaches we can with snorkel gear. Not as many fish here in the shallows but plenty of coral and turtles. Beach bars are good and we're getting used to being woken up by nearby mosque. It all adds to the authentic experience.
