Dinant for Fifty

Todays drive took us through Brussels on our way from Bruges to Dinant. I’d heard Belgium was beautiful, I didn’t realise just how much. We’re staying in Dinant…

This is a music place, home of the Saxophone

Just an awesome place to chill

We’re here to celebrate my 50th birthday tomorrow.
What a view.

More Bruges for your Buck

Had a full day in Bruges. Walking, canal tour, chocolate and frites museums, walking and more walking. Full on, it’s jam packed full of treats. If Belgium was a box of chocolates, Bruges would fill it up. More chocolate, yes please.

A feast for the eyes

Couldn’t help but stair at all the beautiful angles

Simply the Brugest

This is right up my alley

Loved the chocolate museum

Canal tour… way to see the edge

Strolling back, there’s inspiration in here for sure.
Bruges… you are so fine.

Beautiful Belgium

Last night was spent in Antwerp, in a BnB near town. We arrived late so didn’t see much, but made up for it this morning with a walk around. Really beautiful old jagged buildings with detail and gold. We’re headed for Bruges, stopping off to visit Ghent along the way. A similar vibe in all 3 places here, it’s wavy and full of waffle… sweet treats and chocolate. Stunning.

Nice to see blue sky

Walking around Ghent

Waffles and chocolate mmmm

Bruges at night

We’ve more to see in Bruges… even in the rain it is gorgeous. Heading to the bar, then back to the tent lol
Another day tomorrow.

One Forte in Amersfoort

We’ve spent 3 nights chilling out in our cute little BnB, a home away from home. When you’re needing some home comforts it’s good to indulge, come home, cook dinner and relax. We spent the morning walking through Amersfoort, before going to see Anne Franks house… a very moving experience.

Amersfoort… felt authentic and very local. Not many tourists here, we order coffee and cake and cruise

The actual bookcase they hid behind. The museum was very reflective and quiet… the audio tour was a must do in here, not just for info, but as traffic control. Genius.
We’ve crossed the border and we’re now in Belgium.
