We’re deep within the mountains right now, staying in a campground in the valley beside numerous ski fields. We stayed in Salzburg last night, had a look around and drove out South West this morning to visit a couple of waterfalls and potentially stay in Innsbruck. Changed direction and now staying further down towards Slovenia. The landscape is like New Zealand on steroids, mountains everywhere, and cliffs, Many ski fields are accessed by chairlifts rising out of buildings beside the road. It’s pretty cool how they’ve made it more accessible to ski here. We’re tempted, but keep on driving. We’re heading further south, down towards Greece, and time is ticking. We’re enjoying a drink at the campground bar, right in the heart of Austria.
Salzburg… home of Mozart
Our next day takes us through even more mountains and huge ski fields. It’s incredible, with fields on both sides of the road and over bridges, there’s runs everywhere.
