Sitting high up on a mountainside sits the impressive Neuschwanstein Castle, and just across the road on another, sits the Hohenschwangau Castle… both of them near Fussen, near the Austria border. The highlight of our trip down The Romantic Road, and a great way to finish. A cold start to the morning sees us hiking up and around for the best views. Wow.
